Wednesday: Areas of fog

Areas of fog will develop into early Wednesday morning. The fog may be more focused north and west of Baltimore.

This pattern will repeat on Thursday morning, when the fog could be even more widespread around central Maryland.

The fog will clear to some sunshine midday, before clouds increase in the evening.

Temperatures will climb into the mid 60s, which is near-normal for the end of October.

Pumpkin Moon

Did you notice how orange the moon looked when it rose on Tuesday evening? That’s because some wildfire smoke has moved into the atmosphere above Maryland.

The smoke particles acted like a filter, causing the bluish wavelengths to scatter while the reddish wavelengths shone through.
