(KRON) -- A fast-growing San Francisco coffee shop is expanding with another location in the city. Q Specialty in Laurel Heights is opening in the SoMa neighborhood next month, the cafe announced on social media Tuesday.

Q Speciality will soft open on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 405 Howard St. (Suite 140). That cafe is located near Salesforce Park; it is also in the area of Andytown Coffee and Starbucks.

To celebrate the opening, the business is doing giveaways for 25 lucky winners. Details of the giveaway can be viewed on Q Speciality's Instagram post.

Q Speciality opened in the fall of 2025 and is owned by Cyrus Shen. Upon opening, despite having both a Peet's and Starbucks on the same street, Q Speciality was frequently met with lines out the door.

Even Mayor Daniel Lurie acknowledged the buzz around the cafe.

"Cyrus, I've been trying to come in here for a while. There's always a huge line, but I finally made it," Lurie said earlier this year in a social media video with Shen.

Q Speciality is known for its selection of pour-over coffees, which customers can smell before ordering, and aesthetically pleasing matchas. It has quickly become popular with a fanbase of more than 11,000 Instagram followers.

This is another example of the expansion of Asian-owned coffee shops in the city. Korean-owned Jandii recently announced it would be expanding with its second San Francisco location. An Indian speciality coffee shop recently opened.
