Under a blue sky and mild temperatures, the Morgan County Republican Party held a Proud to be an American rally in Berkeley Springs State Park on Saturday, October 24, with a lot of red, white, and blue on display.
Flags lined the sidewalk along Washington Street and in the park itself and signs thanking veterans and first responders.
There were door prizes, a raffle for a grill, music, and free food for those in attendance.
The afternoon event was organized as a public display of American pride, said Republican committee members, who highlighted the opportunities available in the United States and the ongoing legacy of those who have defended and served the people of the nation.
